Customized OE sales order with Change Customer Number provision

Sales Order is a confirmation document sent to the customers before delivering the goods or services. Sales Order can be created once the quote is accepted by your prospective customer.

Sales order is generated against a customer and in Sage 300 user cannot change customer number once sales order gets posted. But now it is possible to change customer number of sales order even after posting the order.

We are writing this blog continue to our blog “Change Customer Number on Sales order after posting” which we have already posted on our site.

Addition to this we have customized OE Sales order screen with provision to call “Change customer number” utility on OE sales order itself which allows user to replace the customer on that sales order itself without adding separate macro on sage 300 desktop.

Let’s have a look on the user interface.

Go to Sales order form -> Create one quote or Order. -> Click on Customer update button to open utility.

You can see the customer update utility will get open with the same order number which are selected on order entry screen.

Now as per original functionality (mentioned in blog “Change Customer Number on Sales order after posting”) user can select customer number to replace with the old customer on OE sales order screen.

On click of process button old customer on OE sales order will get replace with the new customer number.

This is how user can use this utility by OE sales order itself without adding new macro on sage 300 desktop.
