Prior to joining Sierra Wireless, he held positions in Fortune 500 companies including Texas Instruments, Sanmina SCI and Alcatel. He holds an MBA from SMU in Dallas, TX and a MS EE from INPG in Grenoble, France.
Michael Buonassisi, Director, Product Line Management, Short Range Modules, Sierra Wireless
Michael Buonassisi is the Director of Product Management for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GNSS positioning modules in the OEM business unit. Michael has been on the Product Management team at Sierra Wireless for over 10 years. Prior to his current role, he managed the EM & MC Series modules and launched many successful products including the industry’s first LTE mini card. Before he joined Sierra Wireless, Michael held several technical positions at TELUS Communications. He has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering and a minor in Commerce degree from the University of British Columbia.

Nicolas Damour is Senior Manager for Business and Innovation Development at Sierra Wireless, responsible for standardization activities and for innovation projects with industry partners, strengthening Sierra Wireless’ position as the global leader in fully integrated device-to-cloud solutions for the IoT. He is currently chairman of the GSMA IoT Terminal Steering Group and member of the Board of Directors at the Open Mobile Alliance.
